Western states, and international entries are now accepted for all
countries. Gold Nugget winners share one common denominator: excellence

THE BEST IN AMERICAN LIVING AWARD (BALA) design competition, sponsored by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Design Committee and Professional Builder magazine, is open to builders, architects, designers, developers, land planners and interior designers nationwide.
Winners of this prestigious award are selected annually from hundreds of entries and they invariably redefine excellence for the residential building industry.

NWFA Floor of the Year 2003 - Residential Design
Finalist: Best Job-Site Craftsmanship & Design
Awarded by the National Wood Flooring Association: Entries in this category include all types of job-site finished wood flooring, hand-cut designs and mixed media that predominantly use wood. Entries are judged on the appearance and compatibility of the flooring with other room design elements.

The Ashley GroupTM, publisher of the Home BookTM network of annual sourcebooks - now published in 22 of the nation's
largest metropolitan areas - held its first ever national design
competition, the 2002 Home Book Design Excellence Awards. The
competition is designed to scout out the country's top talent and
projects in the residential luxury home market. Winners were selected
based on design aesthetics, detail, uniqueness and functionality by a
panel of six independent judges.

Home Book 2002 - Design Excellence Marble
Gold Winner - Marble, Granite, Limestone & Slate
The Ashley GroupTM held its first national design competition in 2002. Entrants
competed in 36 different categories of design including architecture,
custom home building over and under 5,000 sq. feet, various aspects of
interior design such as libraries, master bedrooms and wall coverings. A
panel of six independent judges from around the country selected
winners based on design aesthetics, detail, uniqueness and
functionality.
